The table columns are 1) Cluster Code, 2) Stock Ticker, 3) Stock Name, 4) Value Line Industry. 

The Cluster Code can be read from left to right.  Each branching point of the cluster tree is designated by a '1' or a '2'.  The groups described in the main text are composed of stocks with the same first four branching points.  For example, 'Technology' is the label given to all stocks with cluster codes beginning with 'C1112'.  The more positions in the code, starting from the left, that are the same, the more similar the monthly returns of stocks within that sub-cluster over the decade ending February, 2003.
